Sweet lemon sauce for gingerbread or desserts.

Steps

1. Mix cornstarch, sugar, lemon rind and salt.
2. Gradually add water and lemon juice.
3. Cook over low heat stirring constantly until thickened.
4. Continue cooking for five minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and add butter.
5. Cool and serve or serve hot on gingerbread.
